The year 9 Cambridge Checkpoint Examinations are taken at the end of year 9. IGCSE Examinations and SSCEs are taken in years 11 and 12 respectively.
Life skills application is at the core of our college life; our curriculum is designed to raise successful global leaders in any sphere of engagement with a strong emphasis on communication and oratory skills. Our secondary curriculum is largely British oriented with core subjects being English Language Arts, Mathematics and Sciences (Earth, Life and Physical Sciences). Others are Social studies (Nigerian and International), Agricultural Science and Physical Education. Our curriculum infusions are Diction & Elocution, ICT, Fine and Creative Arts, Music, French, Nigerian languages, Etiquette and Living Values. A wide range of club activities and school activities are included, ensuring a holistic, fun, yet intensive approach to learning.
Continuous teacher training, pupil assessment and curriculum evaluation are at the core of our consistent routine to ensure global standards are maintained. Greenpath Preparatory School is a motivational and inspirational school where you can explore opportunities to discover and nurture your talents. Pupils are engaged in drama presentations, mathematics competitions, debates, spelling bee competitions, declamation contests, and music/ talent shows within every term.
Continuous Assessment Tests are taken twice in a term at 20% each, and end of term assessments at 60%. Projects are also assigned across the various subjects which are graded and add up to the continuous assessment scores. At the end of each term, honour roll is pasted which has the names of students with average scores of 90s in all graded subjects. Honour roll certificates are also awarded.
Years 7 to 9 subjects are Mathematics, English Language Arts (including Literature), Sciences (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, B.tech), Global Perspectives, Social Studies/History, Business Studies, Home Economics, Agricultural Science, French Language, Hausa Language, Geography, ICT and Cultural and Creative Arts.
BECE Infused Subjects are: Agricultural Science, Home Economics, Social Studies, Hausa Language, Religious Studies, Civics & Security Studies.
Planning for Life and Work, Soft Skills Trainings, Living Values, Communication, Cognitive Aptitude Tests & Entrepreneurship are curriculum infusions.
From year 10, our students are given proper orientation on possible career paths and with a lot of guidance, they make informed decisions on their future professions. Then, they settle into classes that would prepare them accordingly. These classes are divided into three main streams:
Sciences: core subjects include Mathematics, English Language Arts, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Civic Education, Marketing.
Electives: French, Geography, Economics, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, and ICT.
Arts: core subjects include Mathematics, English Language Arts, Literature, Biology, Civic Education, Marketing, Religious Studies, and Government.
Electives: French, Economics, Geography, ICT.
Social Sciences: core subjects include Mathematics, English Language Arts, Biology, Accounting, Commerce, Marketing, Civic Education, and Economics.

Blended learning has been adopted to suit the demands of our ever-changing world. Our online learning platforms, IXL and Google classroom, are engaging and our rich curriculum content is virtually delivered by our dynamic and innovative team.
Learning milestones are monitored and assessed; real time learning sessions, supporting knowledge organizers, information notes, videos, presentations and links have helped to ensure learning is seamless.
In year 9, our students write the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint Examinations and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). In year 11, they write the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations and in year 12, they write the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE).
Our admission process is simple and seamless.
1. Purchase of Registration Forms:
The registration forms are available at the administrative section of the school and cost N50,000 (50% of this is an acceptance fee and is non-refundable).
2. Entrance Assessments:
The applicant will be required to write an assessment examination for the class he/she wants to apply into. Information regarding the dates of the assessment is available at the administrative section of the school.
3. Interviews:
The next step is a one-on-one meeting with the Head of School and the Head of College. The date for the oral interview is peculiar to each applicant and is usually communicated to the parents of the applicant(s).
4. Payment of Fees:
Successful applicants will proceed to pay the fees. The fee schedule is available upon request at the administrative section of the school.
